PASTORS
“Preach the word…” (2 Timothy 4:2)
Pastor Paul Zaspel is a competent expositor of God’s Word and a faithful minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He was born into a Christian home whose father was a Baptist pastor. He graduated from a Christian College with a Bachelor’s degree (1977) and later a Master’s Degree in Bible (1979). He began his Christian ministry in college as a youth pastor in Alabama and was later Assistant Pastor in Virginia and Minnesota. He came to Word of Life in 1993 as Youth and Music pastor and became Senior Pastor in 2002. He is married to Carla and has an adult son, Timothy. Paul also has a janitorial service, cleaning homes and businesses. Other than spending time with his family, Paul’s hobbies include golfing and wood working.
Pastor Rick Kantner has faithfully served Christ since his salvation in 1972. He became co-pastor in 2008 after 20 years of faithful service as a deacon at Word of Life. He, too, is a faithful expositor of God’s Word. He is married to Lorraine and is retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad as an engineer. His hobbies include model trains and train-watching.
Evangelist
Evangelist David Morris is “Elder at large” of Word of Life. While involved in full-time itinerate ministry, he preaches for us several times a year. He is married to Terry and they have six adult children and four grandchildren. If you would like to schedule him for revival meetings or pulpit supply, you may contact him at (366) 263-8311.
DEACONS
Four faithful, Spirit-filled, men serve our church as deacons: Tom Hughes, Wayne Orlick, Dan Sickinger and Mike Swilp. These men have a keen love for the Word of God and their spiritual counsel is invaluable to the pastors. They are willing servants of the church body, caring for its physical needs.
TOM is married to Donna, and they have three adult children. Their family has been part of our fellowship for over 30 years. Tom is also a competent teacher of God’s Word and is a substitute teacher for the Adult Sunday School class. Tom is a retired engineer with the Norfolk Southern Railroad.
WAYNE is married to Barbara, and they have four adult children. He served our country in the Navy. He has been active in church ministry for many years. Wayne is retired from public works service.
DAN is married to Jan, and they have five adult children. Their family has been part of our fellowship for 11 years. Dan is a retired Marine and presently works as a general laborer and bookkeeper for two construction firms.
MIKE is single and has been part of our fellowship for over 30 years. He served our country in the Air Force, was a general contractor and is currently retired.
