Word of Life Baptist Church began in the late 1970’s in Orwigsburg, PA. Fred Zaspel became pastor in 1985, and under his ministry the church grew in grace and in number. We moved to our present location in Pottsville in 1988. After 17 years of faithful service to Word of Life, Pastor Fred left in 2002, and one of the elders, Paul Zaspel, then became pastor, and in 2008, Rick Kantner joined him as co-pastor. Through their combined ministries we continue to enjoy a rich and vibrant fellowship together in our Lord Jesus Christ.
